Kia Ora-

'I couldn’t care less now I’m here with you/We’re the only ones left and we’re flat on our backs/Taking the rest of the day off/And you find it don’t add up to much/When you’re wrapped in a blanket of stars/With the one you love...'
-Neil Finn, Rest Of The Day Off, 2001

OK kids--it's time for a short respite. I type this as the end of Tora! Tora! Tora! plays on my video screen, the fade out scene of the burning ships in Pearl Harbor. Kind of fitting as I fly my Zero back to Orlando this afternoon, watching the sunset over Tampa. I see the irony.

But hey, I'm all doped up still.

It's supposed to be C-O-L-D this weekend. Like freezing cold. Like I need to bring my trenchcoat cold. Like ice, duder--ICE! Still, it will be nice. As long as I can get to the condo and possibly crash for a few minutes. And if that doesn't work, then as long as they can funnel alcohol to my prone body I'm sure I'll be fine.

I need caffiene.
I need nicotine.
I need gasoline.
I need red meat.
I need saccarine.
I need phenylketonutic with phenylalanine.

I need sleep.

Still, as Neil says (and hopefully soon):

'And by four o’clock when the sun came out/We were beside ourselves/Taking the rest of the day off...'

Heart,

-N.
