Man, I don't really want to keep going on about the Buccaneers, but then again I do. And Hell--they are the best in the world.

I was putting it into perspective for myself like this: I love the Steelers as a team and they will always be first. But I only follow a few players on the team when it comes down to it. However, if you asked I could probably rattle of 30 of the Buccaneers without blinking. Not only do I care about the team, but also many of the players individually. As much as I bitch about Tampa, they do really rally around the team AND the individuals and you can't help but really take to these guys. And these are the same guys we see in the mall, walking down the street in Ybor, in local restaurants, at the library, at the park with their kids. It just happens to be that they are the best in the entire world at what they do. Saying it like that really has an impact.

It's the same kind of unity around here we had after 9/11. Everyone has flags, shirts, and strangers smile and shake hands. This town finally has something to be proud of. And tonight when they marched the Lombardi trophy into Raymond James Stadium it was such a reception and such a volume that it could well have been the head of Sadam Hussein they were carrying in. Hail the conquering heroes!

I knew they were winners, they could beat nearly everybody, but to put it in this light really says something. Man, guys, congratulations again.
