OK, so I brought my Split Enz DVD to work today to test our compters and see if they can play PAL DVDs from other regions (this is Region 4). Our public PCs were indeed able to play a PAL DVD from an non-Region 1 disc. So perusing, I knew that they had bonus footage on the DVD, various interviews, live clips, photos, and unseen videos. I found one of the hidden clips for a song called Things. I clicked on it and lo and behold, there is a True Colours-era Enz all decked out in their garb of the time. I watched and noticed what instrument Neil was playing. Interesting, it's a 1952 Framus guitar...

HOLY LIVING SHIT!!!

THAT'S MY GUITAR!!! The one at home, in it's protective case, leaning against my dressing table!!! My intestines nearly dropped into the seat of my pants. I was really surprised (not at the intestine thing, though that would have been a big surprise too). I mean, it was well known that Tim played the Framus in the videos for I Got You and Six Months In A Leaky Boat, and the guitar was around the Enz camp for serveral years (something like 1976 to 1984), but I never expected that Neil Finn actually played it too. Absofuckinglutely brilliant!

I just had to tell someone. God bless the Enz!
