2003-02-15//11:42 p.m. Kia Ora- -Adam Duritz (Counting Crows), Hangin' Around, 1999 So what has been a crappy week work-wise ended up nicely. So we'll recap: Yesterday, being Friday, I had off (not for the holiday but because I was scheduled to work on Saturay). V also set her doctor's appointment for early Friday morning (brilliant woman she is) so we could both have the day off. So around 11:00am I picked her up and we exchanged our Valentines (for her I sent roses to her work on Thursday, and gave her this game she's been hinting at, the Back To The Future trilogy she's also been wanting, and a heart-shaped box of chocolates; for me a nice framed photo of her and I from November, this huge plush dog who is awesome, and the Zwan CD). It was off to eat lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. The food was awesome and the portions were gigantic, but I'm sure you hear more about it soon as Lord Phil now chefs there. Then it was off to Westshore Mall to see Daredevil. It was a great film--I liked it better than Spiderman. Then back to International Plaza so V could get her new Sprint phone (and new number). Back to her place for a brief breather, then to dinner at China Yuen with her parents and aunt. That was pretty much it. Today I had to work, but though it was pretty busy it was fun. I worked with Hanh and Tina and it was great fun. They are crazy! :) Then this evening I went to dinner with Mr. Eric at Tampa Ale House for burgers, to Target to shop for V's dad's birthday gift (the X-Men: 1.5 DVD), and then to his house to play some video games. (V was out with Rubis tonight and Phil had to work.) And that brings us here. It was a good end to a crappy work week. And the Zwan CD (Mary Star Of The Sea) is absolutely beautiful--I HIGHLY recommend it (this means you, ma'am). It's sort of a fuller version of the brightest parts of Smashing Pumpkins. Keep the faith, -N.
