2003-04-12//12:03 a.m. Kia Ora- -Neil Finn, When You Come, 1988 Hey ya'll--last entry for probably a week. We disembark tomorrow afternoon. If you haven't heard by now, Monday we will be in George Town, Cayman Islands, Wednesday in Belize City, Belize, Thursday in Cozumel, Mexico, and home on Saturday morning. This is the first time V or I have been on a cruise and it should be a grand experience. It's been kind of stressful to pack and get things sorted, but I think once we are in our stateroom the tension will lift. I honestly didn't know how much 'proper' clothing I needed to pack. For some reason, a Kevin Harvick shirt, camo shorts, toe-capped Doc Martens, and a Badstar knit cap just don't cut it for the formal dinner. But (as Kirk would say), joke 'em if they can't take a fuck. Still, I'm having mixed feelings. Silly ones really. I know it's only a week but I really am going to miss my friends. Wish I could go golfing with you guys on Sunday, but have fun and a chicken sandwhich for me. I'll be rounding Cuba as you're rounding the dogleg on the third hole. Other than that, I snuck off and saw House Of 1000 Corpses. V and I saw the preview to this film in Orlando in like 1999 or 2000. It finally got distribution and opened today. Holy crap--that is one FREAKY movie! The stuff nightmares are made of. It's not your slasher flick with a formulated plot, it's very much in the spirit of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Absolutely void of hope or any redeeming qualities. That said, it totally was brilliant in the sense of pushing that envelope. The repulsion I felt from watching that film made it so worth it. I like the challenges, and this definitely was one. That and Sheri Moon is hot. Aw well, I guess I'd better go pack and repack some more. I love you guys, and we will see you in a week. Keep the faith. -N.
