2003-05-18//12:00 a.m. Kia Ora- -Neil & Tim Finn, Weather With You, 1991 It seems I am online more that usual but never have time to update this. So what's new... Well, we saw the Matrix Reloaded sneak preview. But we'll get to that in a second--let me tell you about the latest car accident. One that I was involved in. And it was the first auto accident I've ever been in while sitting in a crowded movie theater. Basically, sometime while I was sitting in the theater before the film, a Jaguar and a Volkswagen fought over the space in front of me. The VW got the space, the Jag got mad and reversed then floored it. He smashed the rear of the VW and it ended up lodged beneath my Jeep. A Sheriff came in the theather to find me and then took me out there. The VW had damage in the rear fender and about 4" deep of accordian-like damage from impacting with my Jeep. The Jag was spewing fluid and it's grill and front end was fucked. And from having a VW lodged under my car I ended up with a slightly askew dented bumper (a mar about 5" wide and perhaps 1/8" inch deep and moved about 1/2" on the driver's side), and that's it. Germans and Brits make great cars, but let's hear it for American technology! Two accidents in my proximity in as many weeks. I'm getting tired of this. Anyway, after all the excitement I rejoined V in time to see Matrix II. My comment is that it was 'Overwhelmingly OK'. I just want to say that the parts that were cool were completely AMAZING, and the parts that sucked just blew (if you need to use the restroom, go during the Raver-Dance-Sex scene, it must last 3 hours or at least it feels like it), so it all balances out. I must say that Agent Smith is my favourite character along with the twins. And I have to admit that I'm not fanatical about the Matrix franchise like a lot of people, but I do like it quite a bit. It's a summer must-see. Plus it's got the trailer for Freddy Vs. Jason and that's my movie for the summer--Jason Vorhees is my boy!!! Other than that, my dad and I changed out my radiator hoses today which has turned out to be quite a bit more. The gauge was overheating tonight even though the radiator and fluid were cool and seemed good, so we suspect it's a sensor or something. We'll changed that out tomorrow before golf/PPV at the Hynes'. After owning a Ford Escort, one of the smells I hate the worst is antifreeze--it makes me nauseous. It get's stuck in your nostrils and you can smell it for days and I reek of it, even if no one else can smell it. V and I went to dinner with Rubis and Matt tonight at The Cheesecake Factory, which was good as ever and I spied Phil in the kitchen. I didn't bug him because he was working, but if he made my portabello pizza then it was awesome as all his cooking is! Also, when walking around the mall we ran in to Michelle Gibson from Bayshore Christian, someone I hadn't seen in 15 years. She looked great and has a husband and child. I was so shocked seeing her I forgot to give her my email address. Ah well, next time I run into her in 15 years. We cut the night short because of my auto situation. Ah well, off to sleep before more auto repair and then golf with Mr. Eric and Kirk in the afternoon and then WWE's Judgement Day. Keep the faith, -N.
